Before you ask

Why not just hang the Govee kit myself?
Plenty of people do — and the lights themselves are excellent. Where DIY installs struggle in Florida is the mounting: the adhesive clips that ship in the box soften in our heat and let go, and exposed controller boxes don't love July rain. A professional Govee installation screw-mounts every puck (or sets it in aluminum track), hides the wiring, and seals the controller in a weatherproof enclosure. Same lights, far better odds they still look perfect in year three.
How much does permanent lighting cost for a typical home?
Our Govee permanent outdoor lighting installs are priced all-in at $10 per linear foot — lights and professional installation together in one price. That makes a 150 ft roofline $1,500, a 100 ft roofline $1,000, and a 200 ft roofline $2,000. Every home gets a free measure and a fixed written quote first — try the estimator above for a ballpark.
Why is pricing per linear foot, not per square foot?
Because the work follows your roofline, not your floor plan — gables, returns, and peaks are what take time and materials. The whole trade quotes this way, and it keeps your price honest: you pay for the feet we actually light.
What can I do with the lights once they're up?
Anything the Govee app can dream up: warm white for everyday architecture, red-and-green permanent Christmas lights in December, orange and purple for Halloween, team colors on game day, soft night-lighting for security — plus schedules, timers, and voice control. We program your first scenes with you before we leave.
How early should I book Christmas installation?
As early as you're willing — installs run September through December and the calendar fills from late September onward. Seasonal packages include design, lights, installation, in-season maintenance, January takedown, and storage, with most homes between $800 and $2,500 all-in.
What warranty do I get?
Our workmanship is covered for 2–3 years. Govee lights carry a 1-year manufacturer warranty, and we'll walk you through what that means for your home at the measure.
